  • Picture of Alan Racing at VIR 2006 - This was taken at Virginia International Raceway in southern Virginia, May 13,2006. The turn is #3 (NASCAR Bend). I was gridded 60th out 61 cars due to my transponder not working in Qualifying (the transponder is a numbered device that tells the grid what my lap times are). I passed 45 cars in 10 laps to finish 15th overall!
  • Racing for a Cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) - After learning that my Brother-in-Law, Wayne was diagnosed with ALS this year, I dedicated the rest of my racing career to raising money to find a cure for this cruel killer (avg. life expectancy is 2-5 years). ALS sponsorship will be on all our cars and we will try anything to raise money for them. In this race, I started from the last position and raised money per car that I passed (I passed 23 cars to finish 4th). We raised over $3,000 in two races and we are just beginning.   • The First Win! - This was taken from BeaveRun Raceway in PA. BeaveRun is about 40 miles NW of Pittsburgh. I qualified on the Pole and led all but 1 lap. The next day I qualified on the Pole again and led the first 14 laps. I then gave up the lead until the last lap, thus giving me my second win!
